Meet The Team

Jerry has over 25 years experience as a developer, owner and manager of multi-family and seniors’ housing throughout the Midwest. His knowledge and insight in finance has enabled Pathway to successfully execute difficult development and acquisition deals that are otherwise passed over by other operators. As a result of his efforts, Pathway is one of the only developers in the nation using tax credits to build affordable assisted living targeting mixed-income residents. Jerry is a board member of the American Seniors Housing Association and sits on the Legislative Roundtable for the Assisted Living Federation of America. He is Treasurer and Past President of the Real Estate Investment Association and is a member of its National Executive Committee. He is a member of the Affordable Assisted Living Finance Work Group sponsored by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and also served as Chairman of the Village of Inverness’s Zoning Board of Appeals. Jerry earned an MBA from Northwestern University, majoring in both real estate and finance.

Jim has over 30 years of experience in real estate syndication, investment and management. His responsibilities include project origination and development, acquisition management and finance. He oversees a detailed due diligence process that turns over the rocks to uncover hidden advantages and hidden pitfalls. Jim is President of the Real Estate Investment Association (REIA) and a Director of the Illinois and Michigan Housing Council. Jim is also active with the Affordable Assisted Living Coalition and the American Seniors Housing Association. He is also a member of the steering committee and an adjunct professor at DePaul University. Jim holds a Master’s degree in urban planning from Wayne State University.

With more than 25 years’ experience as a development project manager, construction manager and architect, Bob is responsible for design and construction of Pathway’s projects. His passion for conservation is helping to transform seniors’ housing building and operational practices. In fact, the latest Pathway community, Victory Centre of South Chicago, is one of the nation’s first LEED-certified seniors’ housing developments. Bob has served on several planning and advisory boards and is also past chair of the Hamlin Park Planning Committee. He has been active in the American Institute of Architects-Committee of the Environment and the Urban Land Institute Enterprise Zone Committee. Bob earned his MBA from Northwestern University with majors in finance and real estate, a Master’s in architecture from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Bachelor’s in architecture from the University of Notre Dame.

A Certified Marketing Professional with 20 years of experience in seniors’ housing, Aaron is responsible for the fill-up of owned and managed communities, identification of key development and acquisition opportunities, and the development and implementation of a corporate strategic growth plan. Prior to joining Pathway, Aaron operated his own marketing and management consulting firm for six years with clients throughout the country benefiting from his experiences. Aaron had previously held community- and corporate-based positions with national providers such as Marriott Senior Living Services, Sunrise Senior Living, Classic Residence by Hyatt and Fountains Retirement Communities. He sits on the board of Lincoln Healthcare Events, sponsor of the LINK, LTC 100 and HCap conferences in seniors’ housing. He is also an active member of the Marketing Roundtable for the Assisted Living Federation of America and serves as judge for the annual Mature Media Awards given by the Mature Market Resource Center. Aaron is often a featured speaker at industry conferences and events on topics ranging from marketing and operations to development and strategic management. Aaron completed his MBA from The George Washington University and holds dual undergraduate degrees in management and communications from Virginia Wesleyan College.

Maria oversees all operations for Pathway. Her keen understanding of the industry and background in human resources have enabled her to develop and implement a variety of successful operational initiatives, from food service and facilities management to wellness and community life. A certified Senior Professional in Human Resources with over 20 years of executive level experience in the seniors’ housing industry, Maria plays a key role in implementing company initiatives – strategic planning, acquisitions management, organizational development, planning and staffing, and culture development – that have contributed to the growth and success of the organizations she has served. Maria sits on the Operations Roundtable for the Assisted Living Federation of America. She holds a Bachelor of Science in management from National Lewis University.

Michael is a CPA with over 22 years of financial management experience in the areas of real estate development and property management. At Pathway, he provides strategic guidance for the company’s accounting, payroll, investor reporting, IT, and regulatory compliance departments and has directed the company-wide implementation of Yardi Senior Housing’s integrated, customizable software package. Michael is member of the AICPA and the ICPAS and sits on the Assisted Living of America’s CFO Roundtable. Michael earned his Executive MBA from Lake Forest Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from DePaul University.

Sandra Davidson has over 25 years of experience in real estate operations, finance, marketing and management, including 12 years of experience in independent and assisted senior housing. Prior to joining Pathway in 2007, Sandra was a Portfolio Management Executive with The Chicago Housing Authority and served as Vice President of Operations at Senior Lifestyle Corporation. Sandra is a certified Residential Care Facility for the Elderly (RCFE) Administrator in California, and has certifications in C3P Tax Credits, RIM, UPCS, and Public Housing Property Management.
