A Fresh Approach
Our cooking standard focuses on fresh and flavorsome ingredients – better tasting food with healthier components. Food is prepared-to-order or cooked in small batches to ensure freshness. We proudly serve fresh produce, cage-free eggs, all natural non-injected, non-GMO meat and poultry and our fried food is fried in 100% zero trans fat canola oil.
Prepared from Scratch
Food is prepared from scratch daily by our talented chefs – allowing for control over what we serve. Food and menu curation is founded on chopping, dicing, peeling and cooking from scratch with real ingredients. Thoughtful preparation on a daily basis is the essence of our approach for creating an enjoyable and memorable culinary experience.
Menus emphasize the inclusion of fresh vegetables, herbs, fruits, legumes and whole grains. Soups and sauces are made from scratch with fresh stock – richer flavor and less sodium. We offer vegetarian and gluten-free options at every meal. Our focus is to sustain nutritious and healthy options in order to satisfy the varying palates of residents.
Aside from planting and picking herbs, vegetables and fruits from our Victory Gardens, residents are encouraged to meet with the culinary team every month and collaborate on the upcoming menus.
We love local! A portion of the food purchased for our culinary program is sourced locally. This means it’s seasonal and fresh and it supports local farmers and artisan producers.
